The Brooklyn Nets have comes to terms with free agent forward Thomas Robinson on a 10-day contract once he clears waivers tomorrow night.

Robinson was the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of the University of Kansas and GM Billy King was very high on him back then until he made the horrendous deal to bring in Gerald Wallace and trade that pick in order for the Nets to secure Deron Williams resigning with the team.

This will be Robinson’s fourth team in his short three seasons and has yet to find a secure home averaging a measly 3.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in only 12.2 minutes per game this season for the Portland Trailblazers.

The wheels are definitely turning on this Nets team and the mandate seems to be “get younger” at all costs.  This deal will certainly give the Nets even more athleticism at the forward position in addition to the recently acquired Thaddeus Young.
