Nets "almost" shock the Heat – Lose 101-98

The shorthanded Nets were without Deron Williams/Gerald Wallace/Brook Lopez to face the Miami Heat last night and they almost pulled off the stunner of the season as they had the Heat on the ropes and then let them go.  The Nets got caught for a “HORRIBLE” 5 second violation with a chance to tie with seconds left and that was the straw that broke the camels back.

Kris Humphries (29/8/2) was dominant and made Bosh and  Miami’s frontline look old and weak and MarShon Brooks (24/7/6/2) came alive to help the Nets start off well and maintain for all but 2 minutes in the game. NJ looked impressive by stifling the Heat for almost 46 minutes and going right after them.  The game was decided when the Nets team leader and STAR couldn’t suit up and make a big shot in the closing minutes and left it to an iso by Gerald Green and a disgraceful three-point attempt by Sundiatta Gaines.  That was followed up by the wonderful 5 second violation by DeShawn Stevenson and all but ended the Nets miracle night.

One more reason why Deron Williams is the FRANCHISE and must be resigned.

The Nets next play the hated NY Knicks at the Rock on Wednesday night at 7:30pm
