Updated: June 27, 2013

Today is one of my favorite days of the entire year……..

The 2013 NBA Draft will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn at 7pm.

There have been many names and trades making the rounds in the last few days and most wont happen but maybe a few will actually come to fruition.

NY Daily News

22. NETS: Gorgui Dieng
Louisville, Center, 6-10¾

Jason Kidd needs to win now, so the Nets are trying to trade their pick, with Cavs’ C.J. Miles possibly being dealt to Brooklyn.

NY Newsday
New Mexico, F/G
They want a shooter and someone who can help now. Snell, a 6-7 junior, would fit both criteria, but moving up for Karasev is a possibility.

22. Brooklyn Nets
Gorgui Dieng (C, 23, 6-11, 230, Louisville, junior):
The Nets have a number of areas they can improve in after exiting the playoffs in the first round and not a lot of means to do so, being severely restricted with what they can spend in free agency as a luxury tax-paying team. Help on the wing is sorely needed as starting small forward Gerald Wallace struggled for long stretches this season and Joe Johnson had one of the least productive seasons of his career. If the Nets feel they can address that through the addition of unsigned 2011 second-rounder Bojan Bogdanovic, then the frontcourt could be the direction they try to add reinforcements. Louisville’s Gorgui Dieng could plug a hole at the backup center position and looks ready to contribute right away at age 23. As one of the best shot-blockers and overall team defenders in the draft, he could give the Nets a different look off the bench as the team struggled to get stops for many stretches last season.
ESPN – Chad Ford
22 Brooklyn Nets
Kelly Olynyk – PF Gonzaga , 7-0 , 234
Analysis: Olynyk might have one of the largest ranges of anyone in the draft. He’ll get looks as high as No. 11 to the Sixers and No. 12 to the Thunder, but he also could work his way down here. Gorgui Dieng and Tony Snell are other options for the Nets at 22.CBS Sports22. Brooklyn NetsMason Plumlee  Duke – HT: 6-10 -WT: 235Fox Sports22.
