Kyle Korver To The Brooklyn Nets "Is In The Bag"

Nets Free Agency News:

A rival general manager tells ESPN.com’s Marc Stein that he’s hearing Kyle Korver to the Brooklyn Nets is “in the bag.”

This would be a huge get for Brooklyn who is in dire need of a deep threat to help take the pressure off the Nets frontline and open up the floor.

Billy King has been trying to get Korver back since he drafted him in Philadelphia in 2003.

The most the Nets could offer Korver would be the mini mid-level exception which would be about 3 years at about 10 million although the chance to reunite with Deron Williams, his good friend, and to win a championship may be enough to get it done.

Reading the Tea Leaves:

Williams seems to be in full recruitment mode right now with Korver as earlier tonight he replied to a tweet from Korver’s brother, Kaleb, enticing Korver to sign with the Nets and sending twitter into a frenzy as he and Jason Kidd are Korver’s latest two followers.

If anyone can persuade Korver to come to Brooklyn it may just be Williams because of their friendship and past history playing together.  Good news for Brooklyn fans.

DWill tweeted last night:

NETS RT @KalebKorver: Too excited for my (possibly) new favorite NBA team.
