The participants were announced last night for the Foot Locker 3-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend in New Orleans and the Brooklyn Nets will have a contestant after all. It will not be  Mirza Teletovic whom most fans had hoped would have a chance to compete but it will be Joe Johnson instead.

Johnson will become the third Nets’ player to participate in the 3-point contest, joining Anthony Morrow (2012) and Drazen Petrovic (1992).Foot Locker 3-point pic

It will be Johnson’s second appearance in the event in his career and he he hopes to do a bit better than last time where he only scored seven in his round.

The contestants on Feb. 15 will be: San Antonio’s Marco Belinelli, Golden State’s Stephen Curry, Minnesota’s Kevin Love, Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving, Orlando’s Arron Afflalo, Washington’s Bradley Beal, Portland’s Damian Lillard and Brooklyn’s Joe Johnson.

Johnson and Curry are the only NBA players who have hit at least eight threes in a game multiple times this season in the NBA.
