HUMP's career night wasted as Nets lose to Bucks 105-99

One thing is for sure…..you cant blame Kris Humphries for last nights second half collapse as the Nets GAVE AWAY a win at home to the Bucks by playing Zero defense in the second half.  Humphries had a career night putting up 31 points and 18 rebounds to go with 3 blocks and 2 steals as he made a statement to Ersan Ilyasova and the Milwaukee Bucks by dominating the first half of the game (21pts) with his offense as well as his uncanny way of getting the entire frontcourt of the Bucks in foul trouble.  Humphries obviously marked this game down on his calendar after Ilyasova ate him alive in their last matchup to the tune of  29 points and 25 rebounds.  Payback was in order and boy did Humphries pay it all back.  Humphries’ evening was highlighted by his steal and slam as he scooped up a rebound and went coast-to-coast, taking it all by himself on a one-man fast break and finished with a monster dunk right over the foul plagued Ilyasova.  WATCH HERE

Career Night wasted

The Nets looked surprisingly good in the first half and came out playing solid defense and shooting the ball well enough behind HUMP to go up 54-47 at half and went into locker room feeling good about themselves.  That feeling went away right at the end of third quarter as the Nets had nine turnovers in the quarter and Brandon Jennings hit a buzzer beating 3 pointer to tie the game up at 73-73 going into the fourth quarter.  The Bucks grabbed the lead in the fourth with a frustrating 14-7 run behind Jennings 2 more three pointers and the Nets just could not get a stop as Milwaukee used beautiful passing to convert over and over on the Nets defense. (if you call it defense)  The Nets made a couple of runs late in the fourth only to be pushed aside by the hot shooting Bucks and ended with the 15th loss at the Rock to bring their abysmal home record to 4-15.

The night wouldn’t be complete without a Gerald “G5” Green dunk that makes everyone shake their heads.  WATCH

The Nets have a “favorable” schedule as they have 8 out of the next 10 games at home and some would say that isn’t in the Nets favor as they play better on the road than at home.  Lets all hope that somehow they can figure out how to get some wins at home and make a run at the 8th seed in the East.

Deron Williams sat out his second straight game with a sore calf and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday prior to the Raptors coming to visit the Rock at 7:30
