DWill and Lopez "reportedly" OUT tonight vs Clippers

Last night in the Nets big win in Phoenix Deron Williams went down again with a sprained left ankle in the first quarter and later in the fourth quarter the same happened to Brook Lopez.

There seems to a bit of a controversy going on this morning with a Nets marketing email being sent out stating that Lopez is OUT for tonight’s game along with the Williams.

The portion of the email is below:

[quote_box]“Brooklyn will need to bring that same intensity to the Staples Center against a Clippers team that is off to a 6-3 start behind perennial MVP candidate Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, and they will need to do so without the services of Brook Lopez and Deron Williams who are both out tonight with ankle injuries.”[/quote_box]

A couple of Nets beat writers seem to think the marketing email could be a bit premature in declaring Lopez out so we will all have to wait and see what happens later today.

Again: just because a marketing email says a player is out doesn’t mean he’s out. In fact, it could easily be completely wrong.

Brook Lopez hasn’t even met with the trainer yet this morning, so a gameday alert that he is out tonight is very unofficial

#Nets marketing now telling us the email was "a mistake," that they "dont know" if Lopez is playing.
