D-Will is a full-go as camp opens tomorrow and also indicated Brook Lopez will go once per day, not two.
Starting SF is “open competition, all across the board.” Says it’ll be a guard so expect Bogdanovic and Anderson to fight out for the final starting spot.
“I like Bojan. He’s a basketball player. Not just a shooter. He’s a guard!”
Joe Johnson is going to be the 3 per Hollins.
Hollins says there will be isolation and post-ups, but wants the offense to be a motion one involving a lot of touches on every possession.
Kevin Garnett:

“That’s what we’re playing for. No one is suiting up for second. The mindset has to be championship or nothing.”
KG on retiring: “I must admit, these last 3 years I’ve thought about (it). But it’s a yes or no. I committed to (playing). that simple.”
Garnett said he thought about retiring before this season but now he’s all-in. On hopes of winning a championship: “I don’t think anyone is suiting up thinking about coming in second.”
“If we’re going to be anything this year, it’ll be because of Brook Lopez, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson.”
Garnett on Jason Kidd’s departure: “I don’t know what the hell was going on, like everybody else.”
Deron Williams:

DWill: “What motivates me is winning”
Deron Williams said he’s not 100 percent yet but still 20 percent better than he felt all last season.
Williams on if he’s set any individual goals for this season: “No.”
“I was motivated last year, too. It just didn’t work out the way I wanted it to.”
Williams says he doesn’t know of any restrictions for camp, says he’s worked “pretty dang hard” since being cleared a month ago.
On possible benefit of new voice in Hollins: “Sure. It’s the fourth coach in three years, so hopefully it’s the right voice.”
Joe Johnson:

Joe Johnson’s summer – working out, relaxing and “doing a lot of yoga.”
“This is my third year here, and every year we start with a new coach, it’s like starting from Ground Zero”
He wants to build off his strong playoff performance coming into this season.
“I’ve heard Hollins loves practice. Under Jason we practiced, but, uh… *shrugs* not really.”
Brook Lopez:

“I feel great right now.” Don’t expect any restrictions
Lopez said that Garentt has helped him find his inner confidence. Said KG’s confidence in him is contagious.
He’s been waiting for this day “since Jan. 4,” when he underwent surgery. “It’s been a long wait.”
On Kidd’s departure: “Whoa… it was quick!”
On being on his seventh coach in his 7th season: “It’s been interesting … hopefully this is the last talk of that for awhile.”
