The NBA has announced that Joe Johnson has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Mar. 17-23.
This honor is coming off another “clutch” performance last night in Dallas where he led his Brooklyn Nets to a come-from-behind 107-104 win in overtime.
In the past 2 seasons Joe Jesus’ or Joe Cool is 7-for-7 in final 10 seconds of regulation or overtime when his team is tied or behind by three points or less.
The last time a Net (NJ/BKN) was named player of the week was Devin Harris in the last week of February 2009.
Joe Johnson has been named the Eastern Conference’s Player of the Week for games played Mar. 17-23. RT to congratulate @TheJoeJohnson7! @NBA
